Only a pure heart can really understand and feel true compassion for Christ’s sacrifice for humanity.
Here the sacred and the profane are melted, as the little girl is holding a good luck rabbit pad in her hand while carrying all the pain of Christ.
The mixed background in gold and black symbolizes the pure energy of the divine soiled by pain and death.
The geometric handmade-paper background is used as a mesmerized repetitive scheme of actions and beliefs.
The touch of red here is a metaphor for active compassion and passion at the same time.
I am not speaking of the Christian religion in itself here; my artwork is an allegory of human condition where the individual is represented by all the elements in the composition.
Indeed, we are at the same time victims and comforters of the world and of ourselves.
