WHAT IF YOU FLY ? A creative initiative risen from current enforced confinement due to the *covid19 global pandemic curated by the photographer Elli Ioannou, Paris.
“I have always believed in the positive outcomes of collaborating with inter-disciplinary practitioners in both creative and ‘non-creative ‘ fields and this exhibition is evidence of this belief”. (E.Ioannou)
The invited creatives ranging from fashion design to architects and visual artist , were asked to respond to a quote taken from a poem by young Australian poet ERIN HANSON , with the focus being on their experience of ‘confinement ‘ .

Yes, what if I fly… – FAF Collage
Paris, April 25th during Covid-19 lockdown
Paper collage, 30×40 cm
My paper collage work represents the human desire to reach the highest craves and objectives in contrast with the fears that them cause.
Colors have an important role in the composition as they help to emphasize this contrast. While black and white represents the stasis of our fears, colors mean the propulsive thrust of our desires.
The young woman protected by her shawl and with her soul’s wings open, is fully representing the doubts that assault us before an important choice. While her right wing is outstretched over her shining desires and goals, the left one remains motionless carrying her inner yearnings of freedom and metamorphosis.
My lock down started on March, 12th and I have to admit that this lockdown period was very positive for my art and myself.
I had the opportunity to focus on my personal development and set clear objectives without distractions.
